We’ve been really busy with our badge work, and are now gearing up for one of the more exciting events in our calendar – the Mozilla Festival. Mozfest brings together webmakers, educators and innovators from around the world who all share Mozilla’s aim to make the web more open and encourage people to become webmakers, not just consumers. Its a really fun, collaborative event and this year and open badges will be high on the agenda across the festival.

Digitalme are “wrangling” the open badges floor at the festival, sharing our experiences of designing and awarding badges so far, running sessions in badge design, encouraging organisations to get involved in Badge the UK and awarding badges to participants at the festival.

Mozfest is taking place over Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October 2013, at the Ravensbourne College in London.

We’re currently designing badges for the Digital Leader scheme – a brilliant initiative which gives pupils who are passionate about technology the chance to be leaders and make a difference in their school – and we are inviting Digital Leaders to come along to Mozfest as volunteers to help us run the Badge Floor! This is a brilliant opportunity for  Digital Leaders to talk to people about their roles in school, show off their skills, get hands on experience, earn Digital Leader badges and have the chance to participate in some of the brilliant sessions Mozfest has to offer.

If you work with Digital Leaders in your school and would like to join us at Mozfest please contact us! Volunteers and their chaperones will receive free tickets and travel expenses.

If you plan on attending MozFest, make sure you visit the Badge Floor! Register for tickets here.
